This month, RCLI ’18 Class members experienced the hospitality of local churches and ministries that serve immigrants from all over the world.  These special visits launched their session on “Immigration” and included the Christian Arabic Church, WBTK AM1380 Spanish Language Christian Radio, Tabernacle Baptist Church, and the African Evangelical International Ministry.

On Saturday, the whole Class gathered at Second Baptist Church (River Road) and learned of the various language ministries there.  Presenters then addressed “The role of the Christian in immigration” and “The business of immigrants.”  Following lunch, Class members participated in a Human Library, checking-out two of four presentations on “Local Government Services/Support,” “Nonprofit Service Delivery,” “The Legal Process,” and “Through the Eyes of Children.”
